CPN-UML Protesting Against Arrest Of Notorious Gangster In Dhadingbesi

July 29, 2013: CPN-UML shut down Dhadingbesi: the district headquarters of Dhading district yesterday protesting against the arrest of a notorious gangster also the party’s influential district leader, according to nepalnews.com.

 

CPN-UML imposed a daylong shutdown in Dhadingbesi accusing the police of trying to frame Vice-chairman of the CPN-UML Dhading area no. 1 Dinesh Adhikari aka Chari for illegal possession of weapon. Chari has been known as a notorious gangster. Police had arrested Adhikari from Sorhakhutte of Kathmandu on Saturday, July 27, 2013

 

The main market place including businesses closed in Dhandingbesi while vehicles went off the road due to the shutdown. Educational institutions such as schools and colleges were also partially closed due to the strike while CPN-UML activists obstructed vehicular movement along the Tribhuvan Highway demanding immediate release of Adhikari, according to nepalnews.com.
