Don’t Dream Of Disrupting Elections
By KTM Metro Reporter
November 6, 2013: Chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal has warned the political parties opposing the elections of not dreaming the disruption of elections, as the elections are to be held following the people’s aspirations for a new constitution; and the government is strong enough to bring the illegal elements to justice.
The Home Ministry also has warned of the election-opposing political parties of not indulging in the illegal activities of disrupting the elections to be held on November 19. The police have been taking legal actions against the cadres that have looted election materials, that have vandalized the vehicles used by candidates, and have assaulted the candidates while on the way of campaigning, according to the home minsitry.
However, the 33-party headed by the CPN-Maoist opposing the elections have declared the shutdown of Nepal from November 11 to November 20, 2013. Thus, the CPN-Maoist, the government and other political parties are heading to a showdown.
