A Mass Meeting As A Memorial To Late Koirala

April 4, 2010: the Nepali Congress (NC) party has held a mass rally at the open place called Tundhikhel in Kathmandu on April 3, 2010 as a memorial to late Girija Prasad Koirala died on March 20, 2010.
Speaking at the rally, top leaders of UCPN-Maoist, NC, and UML have said that the country needs consensus politics to take the peace process to a logical end and promulgate a new constitution within the deadline set for it; making all these things real will a tribute to Late Koirala. However, the top leaders of these three major political parties have failed in the consensus politics at the High Level Political Mechanism (HLPM) meeting, as the so-called democratic leaders don’t want to act democratically.
Failure of the three top leaders of the major political parties in the consensus politics has emboldened the most unscrupulous politician such as Bijya Gacchedar to have a daydream of becoming a next prime minister. However, we cannot rule out the possibility of Gacchedar becoming a prime minister, as all the unscrupulous politicians have form a majority in the legislature.
Similarly, the three leaders such as Acting President Sushil Koirala, Senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Parliamentary Party Leaders Ram Chandra Poudel of the NC have also stated the need for an united leadership of the NC at the rally but the cadres of the NC-D have continued to carry the flag of the NC-D despite the unification of the NC-D with the NC.
