Armed Protest To Break Protracted Gridlock Says Chairman Vaidhya
By KTM Metro Reporter
December 16, 2012: opening the first assembly of the CPN-Maoist Tamuwan State Committee, Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya said that his party would need to resort to an armed protest as the last alternative if the political parties were to fail in breaking the current political gridlock and promulgating a pro-people constitution, according to THT ONLINE news of today.
Chairman Vaidhya stated that Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai had betrayed his party repeatedly, surrendering to the regressive force leaving the people’s war when it was reaching the final staging of the winning. He said that they did not fight the people’s war for making someone a prime minister or a president but for liberating the people from the shackles of the centuries-old despotic rule. He said that all these facts were the reasons for splitting the mother party.
He also made it clear to the major political parties engaged in crafting a new constitution that his party would not accept such a constitution if it were not to be pro-people in other words for the welfare of the people.
