China Alerts To Call For 'Jasmine Revolution In China'

Issue 09, February 27, 2011

By KTM metro Reporter

February 20, 2011: China has been alert to the online call for demonstration for uprising similar to ‘'Jasmine revolution.” Chinese securities have put known human rights advocates, pro-democracy activists and anti-government bloggers on an unofficial house arrest. They have also restricted the assembly of people in major cities. They have arrested some known political dissents, too

The message posted on Internet titled ‘Jasmine Revolution In China’ has made the Chinese authorities nervous. They have quickly deployed the police and the security forces on the streets of the Chinese cities to disperse the assembly of any number of people at one place.

Given the current economic development in China, and the worldwide Internet communications, Chinese authorities will find harder and harder to keep their citizens under their thumb.

It is clear that in view of the ongoing uprising across the Middle East, it won’t take much time for the Chinese people to revolt against the one-party government in China.
