Christmas Celebration In Nepal

December 25, 2010: Nepalese Christians along with non-Christians have celebrated the birth of Jesus in a Nepalese way singing dancing and feasting. Nepalis have the unique culture of assimilating religion and culture into the Nepalese way of life. This year non-Christians have also joined the birth of a child that has sacrificed his life for the sins of others and has spent the whole life taking the message of peace and love to the people.
Nepalese President Ram Baran Yadav has sent his greetings to the Christians celebrating the festival in Nepal. After the end of the despotic Dynastic rule of Shahs, Nepal has made the Christmas day a national holiday.
Recent media report has stated that Nepal has two million Christians but the real figure will be know only after the population census to be done soon. However, Nepal has a significant number of Christians.
