February 4, 2013: speaking at a press conference held in Bhadrapur on February 2, 2013, Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gacchedar said that the debate among parties on the office of prime minister has led the country to crisis; so, the country was heading to conflict and confrontation, according to the RSS news posted on thehimalayantimes.com. DPM Gacchedar said the ruling alliance of the UCPN-Maoist and the Madhesi Front (UDMF) was making the people clear the parties responsible for CA demise; the CA election was the best option to free the country from crisis and if a political consensus eludes again, CA election would be impossible even in April/May.

DPM Gacchedar said, “The political situation in the country has worsened due to the countrywide protests by the opposition parties. This will not take the country to anywhere. Offering solution to the crisis, he pointed out that polls would be the best option to solve the present political stalemate facing the country.”

DPM Gacchedar said that after the completion of the seventh general convention of UCPN-Maoist, the current political deadlock would be broken. The UCPN-Maoist has the responsibility to take the peace process into a logical conclusion; to this end, his party would support the UCPN-Maoist, according to ‘The Himalayan Times.’
