Elections For Change In Nepal

Issue 44, November 3, 2013

By KTM metro Reporter

October 30, 2013: speaking at the election rally at the Kathmandu Constituency Number 1 yesterday, chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has appealed to the people for their active participation in the forthcoming Constituent Assembly Elections that would decide the fate and future of Nepal and its citizens; Nepali people were always for change and the forthcoming election would meet their wish, according to the RSS news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

"The country is in need of political stability and economic prosperity. Election is an important opportunity to move forward in the direction of economic prosperity by ending the political transition and it should be accomplished at any cost," he said.

Chairman Prachanda said that although his party emerged as the largest party in the erstwhile Constituent Assembly, it could not work much for the people, as it had to depend on the political parties that were unreliable. He believed that people would vote his party to power in the upcoming elections this time.

Appealing to the people to vote for his party in the CA elections for change, he said that the people's wish could be fulfilled and a pro-people constitution could be formulated only if his party were to garner two-thirds majority in a new CA.
