First Casualty of Wrong Policy of CPN-UML

Vice-president of Nepali Congress (NC) Prakash Man Singh has won the Constituent Assembly (CA) election from the Kathmandu Constituency number one, thus became the first winner of the CA election receiving 14,315 votes. CPN-UML candidate Pradip Nepal became the first casualty of the wrong policy followed by the CPN-UML under the leadership of General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal. He lost the election to Prakash Man Singh receiving only 6,708 votes. Maoists' candidate Ram Man Shrestha managed to receive 3,898 votes. The Election Commission has adopted the electronic voting in this constituency as an experiment, and could declare the result of the election so fast.
