Inciting Head Of State To Be Active In Politics

October 2, 2012: Secretary of CPN-UML Shankar Pokharel today said that Head of State President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav must intervene in the national politics to end the current political and constitutional deadlock if the parties were to fail in reaching a consensus by mid-October, according to ‘HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE.’
Mr. Pokharel has put himself above the venerable constitutional Head of State and wants to be a prophetic forcibly saying that the president must intervene in the politics otherwise the republican democratic system in the country would be in a precarious situation. Mr. Pokharel is a small fish in the CPN-UML even though he holds a high sounding position.
Secretary of CPN-Maoist Dev Prasad Gurung recited the Pokharel’s views indicating Mr. Gurung is no less good than Mr. Pokharel. These are the so-called politicians that want to lead Nepal to a political chaos. Nepalese voters had rejected Mr. Pokharel. Mr. Gurung would face the same fate in the next election.
Leaders of CPN-Maoist are trying to invite political chaos indulging in the most irrational work on banning the Indian-owned vehicles entering into Nepal, and showing Indian movies in the Nepalese theaters, and airing Indian songs in the Nepalese FMs. Even insane Nepalis would not think of doing such irrational things that will bring economic chaos in Nepal.
Speaking at a press conference held by the Nepal Press Union Sunsari in Itahari today, central member of NC Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat said that the Head of State President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav should not delay in taking initiative to give a way out of the current confusion even though the President has been mounting pressure on the ruling coalition and opposition parties to reach a consensus, he has not been as active as he should be and further said that there was no alternative to take the power, according to ‘THT ONLINE’.
Dr. Mahat is an intellectual member of the Democratic Party such as NC but sometimes such intellectuals lose their sanity and say such irrational things: calling the ceremonial head of state to take over the power and hoping the president will transfer the power to his party and he will have a chance to head the Ministry of Finance. What a nice thing to think for the intellectual like Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat. Thank God for producing such human beings for creating political instability in the country.
