Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Sing In Nepal

September 15, 2013: on a two-day official visit to Nepal, Foreign Secretary of India Sujatha Singh is in Kathmandu, and she called on Chairman of Interim Election Council of Ministers Khilraj Regmi at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, according to the RSS news posted on ‘thehimalayantimes.com’.

 

At the meeting with Chairman Regmi, they discussed various matters of mutual interest and concerns and the relations between Nepal and India, Spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Mahendra Bahadur Thapa said.

 

Chairman Regmi said that Nepalese people are eager to cast votes on November 19 and added that the government has fully focused on the election Thapa quoted Chairman Regmi as saying.

 

Secretary Singh said that India wished for the stability of democracy and development in Nepal and expressed her hope that the second Constituent Assembly elections in Nepal will be held on the date already announced.

 

Indian Foreign Secretary Singh arrived in Kathmandu yesterday afternoon. This is her first visit to Nepal after she assumed the office on August 1, 2013.
