The municipality has been distributing the brochure since January 1, 2014. It had printed a brochure in English in 1993 and currently, it has published in German, Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish languages.
It has attractive pictures of important sites, introduction of cultural heritages, must-reach destinations and map of Bhaktapur and major government offices.
Chief of municipality's Tourism Service Center Gautam Prasad Lasiba said that the municipality has distributed the brochure meeting the demands of tourists for such a document, and it would work as a tourist guide, too. Tourists will not miss sites of importance with the brochure in their languages, he said.
Information Officer of the Center Damodar Suwal informed that most visitors are from China. He said that although UN recognized English, German, French, and Chinese as international languages, the municipality also has given the priority to the Japanese language following the number of tourists visiting Bhaktapur.
