Joanna Lumley Arrives in Kathmandu

On July 26, 2009, Joanna Lumley arrived in Kathmandu, and met with the Prime Minister, President and the Foreign Minister on July 27, 2009. Prime Minister, President and Foreign Minister appreciated her contribution to the fights of the British Gurkha Army men for their rights to equal pay and to settle in the U.K.
Joanna Lumley 63 year old actress was born in Kashmir, India to the family of Gurkha officer. Joanna Lumley has said that she would not have seen the world if the Gurkhas have not saved the life of her father.
