Karan Singh Receives D Lit From Kathmandu University

November 7, 2011: on the occasion of the Seventeenth convocation of the Kathmandu University held at Dhulikhel about 30 KM east of Kathmandu yesterday, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai ex-officio chancellor of the university conferred Doctor of Literature (D Lit) on Karan Singh: an eminent scholar and a Indian Congress leader according to the news report of the Press Trust of India (PTI).
Prime Minister and Chancellor of the university Dr Bhattarai has distributed the certificate of graduation to 848 students of Kathmandu University, congratulated the students and urged them to use their skills and knowledge for the development of the country.
Karan Singh was the chief guest at the Seventeenth convocation of the Kathmandu University and delivered a keynote speech on the occasion. Singh has said that the current era is of the science and technology and urged all the students to use their knowledge for the benefit of the country.
