Motorbike Importer Paying 2.5 Billion Rupees Taxes

January 11, 2014: Nepal General Marketing Company: the authorized dealer of the Hero brand motorcycles in Nepal, has been paying taxes of approximately 2.5 billion rupees annually. Speaking at a news conference held in Kathmandu on January 9, 2014 to announce the five-year warranty scheme on all Hero brand motorcycles Managing Director of Nepal General Marketing Avik Jyoti disclosed this according to the RSS news on gorkhapatraonline.com’.
Nepal General Marketing Company has been selling various types of Hero brand two-wheelers for nearly three decades in the country; currently it is selling 13 different types of motorcycles and scooters from 68 sales depots.
According to the information given out at the news conference, 275 thousand Hero two-wheelers are running on the roads in the country; currently 50 million people worldwide are using Hero brand two-wheelers.
The marketing company has been annually selling 30 thousand motorcycles and scooters in the country. The sale of scooters has peaked this year, it is stated. Nepal General Marketing is a company run by Jyoti Group, a famous business house of the country.
