NC President Koirala Complaining to Indian Leaders
By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
Former Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress (NC) Girija Prasad Koirala left Kathmandu on March 12, 2009 for New Delhi, India ostensibly for health checkups obviously for complaining to the Indian political leaders about the style of the government the Maoists have been running in Nepal.
According to his daughter Sujata Koirala former Prime Minister Koirala met with Indian ministers and opposition political leaders on March 13, 2009 in New Delhi and complained to them about the authoritarian rule of the Maoists in Nepal.
Probably, former Prime Minister Koirala has turned to Indian leaders, as he could not garner sufficient support at the grassroots level to topple or even challenge the Maoist-led government.
