Nepalese Sovereignty At Risk

On January 20, 2010, speaking at the program held to felicitate senior journalist Shakti Lamasal, chairman of UCPN-Maoist has said that Prime Minister and his ministers have been speaking the languages of the foreign dictation; in the past, Nepalese political leaders, and the main state agencies believed that the main power center was the Narayanhiti palace, now it is not there; Delhi has been openly trying to take the place of that power center; visiting Indian general has been openly speaking against the peace process, a new constitution and the army integration, and has been forcing some Nepalis to speak his language challenging the Nepalese people, and their sovereignty; so, his party has launched a movement for national independence to do away with the unequal treaties and set new relations based on the new realities.
