Nepalis Trying To Reach International Market

March 24, 2013: Laliptur Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the Sub-Metropolitan Lalitpur City and Jyapu Samaj of Yala is holding the Lalitpur Festival of 2013 from March 28th to April 4th, 2013 with the objective of attracting the international market to the arts and culture of the district, according to ‘Gorkhapatraonline.com news of today.
Organizers of the Lalitpur Festival of 2013 claimed that visitors to the festival would enjoy the best art, crafts, culture, tradition and economies of the district. The festival will transform the Lalitpur city into a vibrant, creative, social, cultural, artistic, inventive and industrial hub of the thousand of visitors from all over the globe annually.
The festival will offer more exciting recreational activities for kids and grownups, too, and a narrated tour for tourists highlighting district’s historic places and communities. It also displays local products of the district, national products, products from SAARC countries and a number of businesses to disseminate information about their services and products to the international market.
Members of Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI) yesterday met with newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai and discussed about the ways and the means of further improving trade and economic relationship between the two countries, according to the ‘Gorkhapatraonline.com’ news of today.
They urged the Chinese ambassador to simplify the trading procedures by removing the existing barriers to the promotion of the trade between the two countries.
During the meeting, Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai assured the delegates of his support for improving the historic relationship between the two countries in the days to come. He said, “I would focus on the development of road expansion, physical infrastructure, hydropower and agriculture sectors during my tenure because lack of adequate transportation facilities is the biggest barrier to the expansion of the trade between the two countries.”
He also assured the members of the NCCCI of his full support for establishing a Chinese bank in Nepal. As the tourism sector could be developed through the film, he said that the Chinese actors would be coming to Nepal in the near future for the shooting of films that would be a big help in the Nepalese tourism sector.
NCCCI Vice-presidents such as Tribhuvandhar Tuladhar, Raju Babu Shrestha, Jyoti Kumar Begani, Pancharatna Shakya, General Secretary Rastra Bhushan Chakubaji and Secretary Ramesh Babu Shrestha were at the meeting with the Chinese diplomat in Kathmandu.
