No-confidence motion against Prime Minister

On Wednesday, September 19, 2007, the central committee meeting of the CPN-Maoist decided to call for a special session of the Interim Parliament and register a no-confidence motion against Interim Head of State and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, saying he could not perform his jobs as the Interim Head of State properly.

 

Interim Head of State and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala hurriedly called a meeting of the central committee of his party Nepali Congress to discuss the course of the actions he would need to take. The central committee decided to back up him for staying on course.
