One Criminal Act After Another Of CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya Cadres

Issue 20, May 19, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

May 16, 2013: cadres of the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya enforced the shutdown of Surkhet today protesting against the police actions against them yesterday for stopping them from obstructing the teams of distributing citizenship certificates and updating the voters’ lists, according to nepalnes.com

Cadres of the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya had committed crimes trying to prevent the teams from distributing citizenship certificates, and updating voters’ lists based on the citizenship certificates.

The law-enforcement personnel took actions against the criminal acts of the cadres of the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya. In the course of the law enforcement, the cadres of the CPN-Maoist-VAidhya injured two policemen, and about a dozen of the cadres got injured.

Not surprisingly, the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya leaders condemned the law-enforcement actions of the police defending the criminal acts of their cadres.

The police should take legal actions against the criminal acts of the cadres for disrupting the citizenship distribution and updating of the voters’ list, and then shut down the Surkhet next day. Both the acts of the cadres are criminals acts committed against the people.

People of Surkhet should rise as other people elsewhere in Nepal against the criminals trying to disrupt the businesses of other people. These cadres deserve the place in a jail not in the civilized society.
