By KTM Metro Reporter

August 26, 2012: The Chure Bhawar Rastriya Ekata Party has decided to join the Federal Democratic Republican Alliance (FDRA) following the decision made by its central committee meeting in Kathmandu today, according to the news posted on thehimalayantimes.com

NC and CPN-UML leaders said that they were not for holding any talks with the FDRA, as it divides the politicians into pro and against federalism. After the meeting of the NC and CPN-UML leaders, NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel said that the FDRA divides parties into pro and anti federalist forces, so it is not acceptable to them; it has undermined the possibility of building a consensus among the parties, according to the myrepublic.com news.

Speaking at a press conference held by the Revolutionary Journalist Association of Plapa in Tansen, Vice-chairman of CPN-Maoist C.P Gajurel today accused the FDRA led by Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda of being against the national sovereignty and integrity, and Mr Gajurel charged that it was for working in the interest of the anti-nationalist force and foreign power. “The alliance was not formed to work for national interest, its main objective is to create favorable environment for the foreigners to interfere in national independence and to promote corruption,” Gajurel added, writes nepalnews.com.
