Overnight Stay Of Prime Minster In A Jumla Village

September 16, 2012: following his program on staying overnight with a family of rural people every month, Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai flew to Jumla on Saturday, September 15, 2012 and stayed at the home of a dalit family in the Ranka Village overnight and interacted with the local people, according to the state-run news agency RSS.
During the interaction with the locals, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai told the local people that the state treasury belongs to all Nepalis, and he would try his best to distribute equally to all Nepalis across the country.
Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai visited the agricultural farms and apple orchard of local farms and listened to the farmers about their crops, and also listened to the chiefs of partner organizations about the progress on the activities launched by the Poverty Alleviation Fund according to Nepalnews.com
Arrival of apples from Jumla has pushed the prices of Indian apples down in Nepalgunj and Kohalpur of the Banke district. Apples from Jumla are priced at Rs 80 per kg whereas the apples from India cost Rs 150 per kg, according to RSS.
