Prachanda’s Directions to Newly Appointed Maoist Ministers

Giving instructions to the newly appointed Maoist Ministers on what to do and what not to do, CPN-Maoist chairman Prachanda told them to make their presence felt in the government. The chairman also warned them of the need for quitting the government if political situation became unfavorable for the Maoists to continue in the government.

According to the ‘Nepalnews.com ag Jan 03 08’ the Maoist chairman instructed the newly appointed Maoist ministers to follow the 23-point deal leaders of the seven parties signed off on December 23 and focus on finding the whereabouts of the missing people, providing the victims of conflict and families of the missing people with relief and taking up the issue of proper management of PLA cantonments while performing their ministerial duties. He also told them to “fight against corruption and commission culture” that has been plaguing the government, and also to give their full attention to the upcoming election for a constituent assembly.
