Prime Minister Deuba Returned Home From India Visit

Kathmandu: On Sunday night, August 27, 2017 completing his five-day India visit, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba returned home.
At the international airport in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Deuba told the reporters that his visit to India made it possible to keep the head of the country high, and has been successful to enhance the understanding between the two countries, and the assistance in energy, trade, connectivity, and tourism, the news in “gorkhapatra” of today stated.
Concerning the criticism of the opposition about his statement on the amendment to the constitution, Deuba said that it was stated in answering the questions, and the amendment to the constitution for meeting the demands of the Madheshi people was his party policy.
About the floods caused in the Terai, Prime Minister Deuba said that he had seriously discussed with his Indian counterpart and the chief minister of Bihar, too for the long term solution of this annually recurring problem; so, he has reached an agreement on a joint inspection of the flood-prone areas, and take an immediate appropriate action to curb the floods.
He has reached an agreement on preparing a detailed project design report (DPR) on the Pancheswore multi-purposes project that has been remaining idle for a long time, and on completing the financial management for the Arun-III and Upper Karnali Hydro-power Project within the extended period.
Prime Minister Deuba also requested his Indian counterpart for resolving the problem of the Nepalese gas bullets for transporting the LP gas from India to Nepal; Indian prime minister has said that the prevailing Indian law permits only the Indian gas bullet to operate in India; however, he would like to keep on going the dialogue.
