Prime Minister Leaving Kathmandu for Norway and Finland

On March 28, 2009, Prime Minister Prachanda is leaving Kathmandu for Bangkok on the way to Norway and then to Finland. The Prime Minister is going to sign off on the development cooperation in Norway and is going to lure the private and state-owned companies on investing in the hydropower propjets in Nepal according to the state-run Radio Nepal.

A large number of businesspersons including former President of Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commence and Industry (FNCCI) Chandi Prasad Dhakal indicted for evading tax is included in the entourage of the Prime Minister.

Experts in foreign affairs said that the visit of the Prime Minister to Norway and Finland is important to enhance the cooperation with the small countries from which Nepal could learn a lot of things such as development of hydropower and other alternative energy such as wind and solar energy, and also from their political setup.
