Prime Minister Left Kathmandu For New York

On September 20, 2009, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has left Kathmandu for New York for participating in the 64th General Assembly of the UN. He is going to address the General Assembly on September 23, 2009, and the International Health Partnership on September 24, 2009. He will be back home on September 28, 2009. The Prime Minister and his spouse will celebrate the Dashain festival in New York, and will be back just on time to receive ‘tika’ (blessing) from the ceremonial President.

This time, Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala has not fallen sick, so she has joined the Prime Minister’s entourage to visit New York but she has taken a different flight to New York. The entourage of the Prime Minister has the number of legislators, Health Minister, Secretaries to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health, advisors to the Prime Minister on political matters and foreign affairs, and last but not the least one: spouse of the Prime Minister.
