Print SLC Question Papers In Nepal Says CIAA

Issue 52, December 26, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

December 21, 2010: in a statement issued in Kathmandu, the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) concerning the news about the printing of the question papers for the School Leaving Certificates examination (SLC) in India has said that it has sent letters to the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Education and Secretaries to the Ministry of Finance to print the SLC question papers in Nepal, the state-run newspaper ‘The Rising Nepal’ writes. However, the Office of the Controller of Examination has suggested the Minister for Education to print the SLC question papers in India to avoid the possibilities of leakage of questions.

However, historically, ministers have been more concerned with the commissions they get rather than anything for the nation. They don’t care for millions of dollars worth of loss to the country if ministers get few hundred thousand dollars worth of commissions.
