February 21, 2013: top leaders of major four political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, UDMF, NC and CPN-UML sneaked into the official residence of Chief Justice from the adjoining official residence of prime minister at 7:00 pm yesterday, and sneaked out by the backdoor after about three hours of talks with the Chief Justice, according to ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today.
None of the leaders except for NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel was available for talking to the reporters that had been waiting for hours at the entrance to the residence of prime minister during the chilly hours of the February evening. NC Vice-president Poudel came out of the car and said to the reporters, “Rat-bhari Karayo Daksina Harayo” means talking endlessly without any results, according to ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today. He also did not elaborate on what he has said.
Speaking at the Reporters’ Club in Kathmandu yesterday, NC leader Sujata Koirala has said that due to the one-sided autocratic decision of NC’s top leaders to form a Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi-headed government, the party is becoming anti-democratic, and she made it clear that the central working committee members have not given any support for the party decision on opting for forming a government headed by the sitting CJ Khil Raj Regmi for holding elections. She insisted that parties should go for fresh polls with the Baburam Bhattarai-led government, according to THT ONLINE of yesterday.
Six political parties such as CPN-Maoist-III (Vaidhya), CPN-Maoist-II (Matrika), CPN-Unified, Revolutionary Communist Party, Federal Democratic National Front, and Social Democratic Party went to the office of the head of state President Dr Ram Baran Yadav yesterday and submitted him a copy of memorandum of protest against forming a new government presided over by the serving Chief justice, according to ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today.
