Re-registering Of Voters In Nepal

August 20, 2013: thousands of voters have registered their names at the district election commission offices in the Kathmandu Valley, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’ The Kathmandu district election commission office registered 3,600 voters, Lalitpur 1,500, and Bhaktapur 7,000 every day, according to the news. Maybe, another few thousand voters were registered at other district election commission offices every day.
However, more than five million voters have missed to register in the previous registration, according to the local media. The Election Commission needed to re-register voters close to this five million. The current trend of registering voters does not show that the Election Commission will achieve to do so within a week it has opened its offices at districts to register voters.
