By KTM Metro Reporter

October 18, 2012: in course of providing the technical assistance to review the four mega hydropower projects in Nepal, The World Bank has invited the expressions of interest from eligible consultants globally. Interested consultants have to submit their expression of interest by October 27, 2012.

The Nepal Government Investment Board is to review the feasibility studies of the four mega projects such as Tamakoshi 650MW, Upper Karnali 900MW, Upper Marsyangdi 600MW, and Arun-3 900MW to assess legal, economic, financial, and technical issues including environmental and social issues with the technical assistance of the World Bank.

Consultants have to advise the government investment board on technical readiness of the four projects and advise on gaps in the current state of project preparation and work required to bring them to readiness. Consultants also have to have engineering expertise in hydropower, dam design, hydrology, underground works, geology, sediment management, seismic engineering, and other areas.
