Robbers In The Guise Of Traffic Policemen Looted 23.1 Million Rupees

December 11, 2013: a group of men in the traffic police uniforms robbed the vehicle carrying 23.1 million rupees of the Nabil Bank taken to deposit at the Dhangadi branch of Nepal Rastray Bank: central bank of Nepal 62 km away from Mahendranagar yesterday, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
According to the news, the robbers in traffic police uniforms stopped the vehicle carrying the money, and demanded the driving license of the driver and the blue book of the vehicle, and then they pointed a pistol at the head of the driver, blinded folded the four people on the vehicle including the armed escort, and left them in a jungle, and then fled with the cash.
However, the police suspected the involvement of the staffs of the Nabil Bank, and took 20 people under control including the four men in the vehicle found blind folded for questioning.
