Kathmandu: On July 24, Monday, speaking at the Eighth Convention of the Lumbini University, Prime Minister also Chancellor of the Lumbini University Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Lumbini University needs to be not only the center for studying the Lumbini but also needs to be the center for studying all the areas related to Buddha such as Kapilvastu, Ramgram, Svoyambhu, Boudhanath, Vihars and shrines abound with the Buddhist cultural heritage, the RSS news in “gorkhapatra” stated on July 26, 2017.

 

Prime Minister Deuba has said that Buddha is the pride and identity of Nepal, his teachings are related to the respect for each other, and equal rights to all living beings; Nepal is the only country that has kept the continuity of the Buddhist religion since the inception of Buddhism, the RSS news stated.

 

Reminding that the Lumbini University came to exist in 2004 when he was a prime minister, Prime Minister Deuba has said that Buddha is not of one country or one community or of one caste but is the light of the entire world, the RSS news stated.
