Stopping Parliamentary Session Again

On June 2, 2009, the UCPN-Maoist members of the parliament have boycotted the parliamentary session again.
Before boycotting the session, Maoist member of parliament Barshaman Pun taking time from the Speaker has spoken in the parliament. He has said that the Government of Nepal has been keeping quiet even when the Indian Security Force has chased away more than six thousand Nepalese citizens from their home and has encroached on the Nepalese land.
He also has said that the cadres of the CPN-UML have set off a bomb in the home of the Maoist cadre in Sindhupalchok on Friday. May 29, 2009 injuring the cadre with the objective of provoking the Maoists.
He also has said that on June 1, 2009, talking to the reporters, the Defense Minister of the government headed by Madhav Nepal has clearly stated to reverse the decision of the previous government on the issue of the Chief of Army Staff and eight brigadier generals with the intention of provoking the Maoists.
Thereafter, he has said that the Maoist members of Parliament will not allow the session to run until the suzerainty of people is established. All the Maoist members boycotted the session.
Then, canceling the agenda of the day, the Speaker has declared that the session has been postponed until 7:15 P.M. of Thursday, June 4, 2009.
