Supreme Court Asks For Case File Against Agni Sapkota

June 15, 2011: hearing on the case filed against Minister for Information and Communication Agni Sapkota, a bench comprising justices of the Supreme Court of Nepal Ramkumar Prasad Shah and Prakash Vasti has decided to ask the file of the case registered against Agni Sapkota at the Kavre District Police, ‘Gorkhapatra’ of today writes.
A few years ago, the Supreme Court of Nepal has ordered the Kavre District police to register the case alleging Agni Sapkota of involvement in killing Arjun Lama after the District Police refused to register the case stating the case was of the period of the conflict.
Recently, a number of human rights activists have filed a case against Agni Sapkota at the Supreme Court of Nepal demanding to fire him from the office, as he has been involved in killing Arjun Lama and consequently in the gross human rights violence.
