UN Chief Ban Ki-moon Spoke with Nepalese Prime Minister On Phone

August 6, 2011: The United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal yesterday evening on the phone and talked about the ongoing peace process in Nepal. UN Secretary Ban has wished for the completion of the peace process under the leadership of Prime Minster Khanal.

"The United Nations is ready to extend any cooperation required by Nepal in this connection, but I express my best wishes that you march towards success through an advanced understanding," Ban told Prime Minister Khanal.

Prime Minister Khanal in turn has said that he has been making efforts on successfully completing the peace process setting a deadline for various activities to be undertaken and calling on the responsible leaders of the major political parties to build a consensus on the peace process and the constitution writing.
