September 30, 2013: Life of Padma Bhushan Global Vipassana Acharya Satya Narayan Goenka has been from January 30, 1924 to September 29, 2013.
Global Acharya of Vipassana Meditation Satya Narayan Goenka has passed away peacefully at the age of 90 at his residence on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 10:40 PM.
The funeral procession will be held from ‘Mayfair Meridian’ at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 proceeding to the Electric Crematorium at Relief Road, Oshiwara (opposite Ghaswala Compound), Jogeshwari (W), Mumbai, India.
Vipassana is a universal, scientific method to purify the mind. It is the practical essence of the teachings of the Buddha, who taught Dhamma - the Universal Law of Nature.
